In 2020 we won an invited competition to design a residential tower in Gothenburg, which is scheduled to finish construction in 2025.

The winning idea was to give the tower a sculptural silhouette with the introduction of terraces on the upper floors. In a prominent location at the main square of the new master plan, which itself is sat in a fragmentary and scattered peripheral part of the city centre, we saw the opportunity of making a building of a truly metropolitan character, as a symbolic beacon of the entrance to the city centre as well as coming developments in the area.

The striking figure has something of the qualities of the brick towers of Manhattan or Chicago, while details and materiality also refers to the nearby historical industries.
