Olsson Lyckefors’ winning proposal for Peggen, Puttern and Bunkern in Norra Borstahusen comprises seven detached houses with associated gardens. The design is rooted in the immediate condition between street and park, as well as the broader context of the historic Scanian fishing village.

The houses are kept low toward the street and rise toward the park. The brick wall plays a central role in shaping the exterior rooms, enabling generous homes (200 sqm) on relatively compact plots (400 sqm). The ground floor accommodates social spaces and a suite in close relation to two walled gardens, each with its own character.

The houses are designed for low embodied carbon emissions during construction (~135 kg CO₂e per sqm GFA), and operational energy performance achieving net-zero energy.

The project is the result of close collaboration with the client and landscape architect Johan Paju.
